ALUMINA FILTERS: Alumina is the generic name for potassium permanganate on an alumina substrate. This is a catalyst rather than an adsorptive media. It has a higher attraction to aldehyde and amine based gases than does carbon. It is more expensive than the carbon media. Alumina is often used in commercial applications. |
